Rare artefacts showcasing Mongolian weaponry and warrior culture are presented at the exhibition Genghis Khan: How the Mongols Changed the World at the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds, El.kz reports citing the Royal Armouries.

The exhibition explores the legacy of Genghis Khan and the impact of the Mongol Empire on the history of Eurasia.

The exhibition will run till 1 November 2026. It marks the project’s debut in the United Kingdom.

The exhibition features rare artefacts from Mongolia’s national collections.

Particular attention has been drawn to the weapons associated with the era of the Mongol Empire. On social media, these artefacts have been described as some of the rarest surviving examples of Mongolian weaponry.

The event was organised by the Royal Armouries in partnership with Nomad Exhibitions, the Nantes History Museum, and the Chinggis Khaan National Museum. In total, the project brings together around 250 rare artefacts.

Beyond Genghis Khan’s military campaigns, the exhibition also highlights the Mongol Empire’s influence on trade, science, cartography, and cultural exchange between East and West.
