Heads of central government agencies and the akimat reported on measures to develop the Almaty agglomeration, Konaev city, integrated city G4 City and the region as a whole. They talked about the construction of housing, administrative and social facilities, modernization of road, rail, engineering and agricultural infrastructure, involving land into agricultural turnover, improving the efficiency of industrial zones and industrial facilities, and the implementation of new investment projects.
In particular, it was noted that the reconstruction of sewage treatment facilities in Konaev will be carried out by the akimat through the mechanism of public-private partnership. So, after determining a private partner will begin development of design and estimate documentation for construction of sewage treatment facilities.
In addition, the meeting addressed issues of organizing and conducting in the region of major cultural and sporting events with the involvement of a large number of spectators in the Republic, as well as at the international level. One of them is the MotoGP World Championship.
Summing up the discussion, Alikhan Smailov emphasized that all involved government agencies need to responsibly approach the execution of orders for the establishment of Konaev as a new regional center, development of G4 City and the entire region.
"We've gone over all the issues. State agencies need to properly work through the tasks at hand. Residents of the region expect that Konaev and the region will develop dynamically, so now it is important to make the necessary decisions without delaying administrative procedures," the Prime Minister said.
As the Head of Government noted, the measures taken should give a significant impetus to the development of the region, which, in turn, will improve the quality of life and well-being of its population.
