Vice-Miss Kazakhstan Tomiris Zaire took part in the Miss Universe contest. The outfits for her were created by a designer from Kyrgyzstan Arzubek Wonama, El.kz reports.
The Kazakh beauty and Miss Almaty 2022 looked flawless on the podium in El Salvador. The Kazakhs stated that she deserved to win. However she failed to make it into the top 20.
“I sincerely want to thank the talented designer from Kyrgyzstan, who created my national outfit for participation in the Miss Universe contest. Incredible work has become an expression of my culture," the woman said.
As a national attire, Arzubek came up with an outfit made of leather, referring to Queen Tomiris.
“I designed such a headdress so that it does not look familiar like a saukele or kimeshek, but is more stylized. He focused on the symbols of Kazakhstan - the golden eagle. If you look closely, it seems to spread its wings and intends to take off. I was also interested in the personality of the Kazakh queen Tomiris, I took her style and made it more modern. This dress was sewn in about a month, I am satisfied with the result," the designer wrote.
