Three matches in two countries
The opening match will take place on June 18 at 07:00 (Astana time)at the legendary Estadio Azteca stadium .
The second match is scheduled for June 23 at 10:00 p.m in Houston, USA, where the opponent will be Portugal.
The group stage will conclude on June 28 at 04:30 (Astana time) at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta against the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Who is heading to the World Cup?
Head coach Cannavaro has placed his trust in three goalkeepers: Utkir Yusupov (Navbahor),Botirali Ergashev (Neftchi), and Abduvokhid Nematov (Nasaf). The defensive line consists of nine players. The most prominent name among the defenders is Abdukodir Khusanov of Manchester City, who recently completed his debut season in the Premier League.
The midfield features six players, most of whom represent clubs in Iran, the UAE, and Uzbekistan. Odil Hamrobekov plays for Iran’s Tractor, whileOtabek Shukurov of UAE club Baniyas.
