During US Senate hearing, Julie Stufft stated that nearly half of the critical minerals deemed essential for the national security and economic stability of the United States are found in Kazakhstan.

“Kazakhstan is not just a trade partner for us, but also a key player in cooperation on strategically significant minerals. This is not merely a matter of commerce or politics — it is a matter of national security,” she said.

According to Julie Stufft, the United States aims to create favorable conditions for American companies to invest in Kazakhstan’s mineral resources sector. This step carries not only economic, but also geopolitical significance for Washington.

U.S. Ambassador Candidate to Kazakhstan emphasized that the U.S. is committed to supporting Kazakhstan’s independence and sovereignty. This support will contribute not only to the diversification of the country’s economy but also to the development of its transport and logistics potential.
