UN Charter serves as foundation of modern international order, Kazakh leader

The President of Kazakhstan was asked about the role of the Middle Powers in the process of strengthening the status of the UN and promoting the principles of multilateralism

“We are convinced that today's world and the world of the future should be universal based first of all on the principles provided by the Charter of the UN. We need to adhere to the UN Charter. No one has the right to violate it, since there are no other alternatives. The UN Charter serves as the foundation of the modern international order. As for Kazakhstan, peaceful coexistence and development are absolutely important for our country to continue reforms and achieve the set strategic goals. We are now facing large-scale tasks to strengthen the country's potential both politically and economically. Kazakhstan is open to international markets. I have already said that we want to attract as much foreign direct investment as possible and create favorable conditions for those who intend to come to the market of Kazakhstan," the President summed up.
