From July 5 to July 7, one of the largest international conferences National Intervention Conference in the field of interventional cardiology was held in India, El.kz reports with reference to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The organizer of this event is the Cardiology Society of India, which brings together over 12,000 participants. The main topics covered innovations in percutaneous coronary intervention, the latest advances in treatment and patient care, and ensuring safety at all stages of therapy.
During the conference, 20 online demonstrations of Live-cases from around the world were presented, among which Kazakhstan was represented by the UMC Heart Center team. This invitation testifies to the recognition of the high level of UMC clinics at the international level and the trust of foreign colleagues. During the broadcast, the patient of the clinic underwent a procedure to install an innovative bifurcation stent.
This stent is implanted for atherosclerosis of the coronary artery, which in turn splits in two. Implantation of a bifurcation stent allows you to effectively and safely restore blood flow at the sites of artery separation.
Practical trainings, thematic symposia on structural diseases of the cardiovascular system, debates, lectures on various complications and current technologies were held at the conference. Among the 1000 participants, international specialists from more than 20 countries of the world, including the USA, Germany, Japan, Canada, Turkey, Spain, also arrived.
It is worth noting that earlier the specialists of the UMC Heart Center visited clinics in India to conduct a master class on minimally invasive artificial valve implantation. Also, more than 60 interventional cardiologists from different regions of India have been successfully trained on the basis of UMC to adopt experience and skills. Close cooperation between the countries continues to strengthen and creates opportunities for knowledge sharing and improving medical care.
