Two new schools have been opened in the Akmola region within the framework of the National Project "Comfortable School". Schools designed for 1200 students are equipped with modern classrooms, two gyms, a STEM laboratory, a canteen, a library and a choreographic hall, El.kz reports with reference to the Ministry of Education.
The "Comfortable School" project is aimed at improving the quality of education and reducing the gap between urban and rural schools. The new schools provide separate blocks for junior and senior grades, strengthen security measures using modern technical solutions, create conditions for children with special educational needs and equip modern classrooms for classes.
Since the beginning of the current academic year, 27 comfortable schools have been opened in Kazakhstan,six of them are located in the Akmola region. By the end of 2025, the project plans to build 217 modern schools across the country.
