Turkish photographer and photojournalist Mustafa Seven, known to his Instagram audience of more than 1.5 million followers, shared a new post dedicated to Mangystau. On his page, he posted a series of photos taken by his friend, photographer Mürsel Yağcıoğlu, El.kz reports.
Seven advised his followers to look at each photo carefully:
“Please look at the photos one by one. They are truly incredible!” he wrote.
Describing Mangystau, Seven emphasized its unique natural and cultural atmosphere. He called the region a place where one can see “alien rock formations, underground mosques, endless canyons, and the striking geography of the Caspian coastline.”
According to photographer, the landscapes of the area look so unusual that they create a sense of unreality — as if part of Central Asia belongs to another world.
“Rock formations, underground mosques, vast canyons, and the landscapes of the Caspian coast… Mangystau is one of the most surreal places for photographers in Central Asia. I learned about this surreal region from my dear friend,” he wrote.
