The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and the EAEU countries in January-May 2022 amounted to $10.0 billion, which is 4.8% higher than in the same period of the previous year ($9.5 billion).
Exports from Kazakhstan to the EAEU countries in January-May 2022 decreased by 0.9% and amounted to 2.9 billion rubles.
The reduction in exports is justified by a decrease in the supply of such goods as: iron ores and concentrates (by 53.4%), cold-rolled flat-rolled unalloyed steel (by 52.4%), hot-rolled flat-rolled unalloyed steel (by 34.4%), clad flat-rolled unalloyed steel (by 36.1%), pipes, tubes and seamless profiles made of ferrous metals (by 74.5%). At the same time, there is an increase in the supply of such goods as: aluminum oxides and hydroxides (an increase of 3 p.), unprocessed zinc (an increase of 2.6 p.), ferroalloys (an increase of 2.3 p.), parts of rolling stock (an increase of 2.5 p.).
Imports to Kazakhstan from the EAEU countries in January-May 2022 increased by 7.3% and amounted to 7.0 billion US dollars.
The increase in imports from the EAEU countries is justified by an increase in the import of such goods as: copper ores and concentrates (an increase of 17.6 p.), sunflower seeds (an increase of 11.9 p.), wheat (an increase of 2.8 p.), semi-finished products made of non-alloy steel (by 30.1%), zinc ores and concentrates (an increase of 2.1 p.), nitrogen fertilizers (by 92.8%), water, including mineral and carbonated, with sugar (by 66.3%).
Kazakhstan's mutual trade with the EAEU countries in non-primary goods in January-May 2022 amounted to 8.1 billion, which is 6.2% higher than in the same period of the previous year (US$ 7.7 billion).
Exports of non-primary goods from Kazakhstan to the EAEU countries in January-May 2022 increased by 13.6% and amounted to 2 billion rubles.
The growth of exports to the EAEU countries is justified by an increase in the supply of such non-raw materials as: aluminum oxides and hydroxides (an increase of 3 p.), unprocessed zinc (an increase of 2.6 p.), ferroalloys (an increase of 2.3 p.), parts of rolling stock (an increase of 2.5 p.), sulfur, except for sublimated, precipitated or colloidal (growth of 250.5 p.), uranium (by 16.7%).
Imports of processed goods to Kazakhstan from the EAEU countries in January-May 2022 increased by 4.1% and amounted to 6.2 billion rubles.
The increase in imports from the EAEU countries is justified by an increase in the import of such non-primary goods as: semi-finished products made of non-alloy steel (by 30.1%), nitrogen fertilizers (by 92.8%), water, including mineral and carbonated, with sugar (by 66.3%), other ferrous metal products (an increase of 2.2 p.), polymers ethylene (by 45.6%), ferrous metal structures (by 47.1%), special purpose vehicles (an increase of 3.4 p.).
