Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Italy continues to show steady growth

For the period from January to October 2023, the total volume of trade between the two countries reached $13.1 billion, which is 0.7% higher than the same period of the previous year ($13.0 billion), El.kz reports with reference to the Economy_kz telegram channel.

Exports from Kazakhstan to Italy during this period amounted to $12.1 billion, the most noticeable increase in the supply of such goods as wheat, coal, titanium and titanium products, waste from the extraction of vegetable oils and plywood.

Main export items to Italy:

Crude oil: $11.8 billion (97.4% share)

Wheat: $158.2 million (1.3%)

Ferroalloys: $91.3 million (0.76%)

Unwrought aluminum: $27.7 million (0.23%)

Imports to Kazakhstan from Italy in January-October 2023 increased by 32.4% and amounted to $1 billion.

Main goods imported to Kazakhstan from Italy:

Medicines: $74 million (7.1%)

Ferrous pipes: $64 million (6.2%)

Fittings for pipelines: $56.8 million (5.5%)

Tractors: $43 million (4.1%)

Food products: $36.2 million (3.5%)

Vaccines and serums: $28.3 million (2.7%)

Soil sorting equipment: $20.1 million (1.9%)

Jewelry: $17.6 million (1.7%)

Thus, Kazakhstan and Italy are strengthening mutually beneficial trade partnership, expanding the range of goods supplied and increasing the volume of trade. These positive trends testify to the dynamic development of cooperation between the two countries.
