Shezhire in AI era: Maksat Zhabagin on preserving national digital heritageTourists flow from Arab countries increased by 62% in 2024, El.kz reports citing the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan.
From April 28 to May 1, Dubai hosts the Arabian Travel Market international tourism exhibition, where Kazakhstan is represented by about 30 industry participants. Visitors are offered a variety of tourist products - from cultural and gastronomic routes to scientific and educational tours.
Participation in the exhibition is aimed at developing business ties with foreign tour operators, travel companies and airline partners, which creates additional prospects for promoting Kazakhstan as a tourist destination.
According to official statistics, in 2024, the tourist flow from Oman increased by 80% and exceeded 15 thousand people. 14.7 thousand tourists came from the UAE, which is 40% more than a year earlier. Over 9 thousand people arrived in Kazakhstan from Saudi Arabia (an increase of 47%). The number of guests from Qatar increased by 1.5 times, and from Bahrain by almost 4 times compared to 2022.
The growth of interest from tourists from Arab countries is explained by the visa-free regime for UAE citizens, direct flights and the active promotion of Kazakhstan on international platforms. In 2023, the country was recognized as one of the trending tourist destinations for Middle Easterners according to TravelScapes.
