Tokayev sends telegram of condolences to President of Tajikistan

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, on behalf of the people of Kazakhstan and on his own behalf, expressed condolences to Emomali Rahmon over the human casualties caused by the deterioration of the situation on the Tajik-Kyrgyz border, EL.kz reports with reference to the press service of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

"We perceive these tragic events with great concern in fraternal and close to us states. Kazakhstan firmly stands for the resolution of any controversial issues in the region exclusively by peaceful means and by political and diplomatic methods," the telegram says.

The President of Kazakhstan conveyed words of sympathy, support to the relatives and friends of the victims, as well as wishes for a speedy recovery for all those injured.
