The Head of State visited the National Supercomputer Center Alemcloud, where he took part in the ceremony to kick off a supercomputer powered by NVIDIA H200 graphics processors, El.kz reports citing Aqorda.
The installation and launch of the system took place at the new data center of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry, in collaboration with international partners.
The new supercomputing cluster is capable of delivering up to 2 exaflops of performance using FP8 computing methodology, positioning it as the most powerful computing solution in the Central Asian region.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that the launch of the supercomputer is a significant step in the digitalization of key industries.
The supercomputer will enable Kazakhstan to make substantial progress in the development of digital technologies.
High-performance computing will become accessible to startups developing neural network solutions, universities, research centers, as well as public and private companies.
