Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is set  to participate in Informal Summit of Heads of State of Organization of Turkic States in Hungary on 20–21 May 2025 in Budapest, El.kz reports citing Akorda.

The Kazakh leader will participate in discussions on key issues of cooperation within the Turkic States Organization — from political and economic collaboration to strengthening humanitarian ties.

Hungary has had observer status with the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) since 2018 and actively participates in the activities of the association. Meetings are also planned on the sidelines of the summit with the leaders of other states participating in the organization.The Organization of Turkic States includes Kazakhstan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Kyrgyzstan.

The main goal of the structure is to develop comprehensive cooperation among Turkic-speaking countries.
