Shezhire in AI era: Maksat Zhabagin on preserving national digital heritagePresident Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed the authorities to review educational materials containing inaccurate historical facts and accounts of historical events, El.kz reports citing Aqorda.
According to the President, the Government recently informed the public about the results of its efforts, which revealed over 700 serious errors in school textbooks, with significant implications for the quality of school education.
“I have just spoken about the need to review educational materials in which inaccurate historical facts and events are presented, and in which children are told myths about heroes and their ‘deeds’ that never took place. Raising children in the spirit of patriotism by disseminating disinformation will undermine the moral foundation of our nation,” the Head of State emphasized.
He drew attention to the fact that young people should have a sound understanding of the history of their nation and look to the future with hope and confidence.
“Our young compatriots should be optimists and grow up with the conviction that there are no insurmountable challenges and that any difficulty can be overcome. We must become a strong and constructive nation. Apathy and despondency must have no place among our youth,” the President concluded.
