Tokayev receives chairman of board of KazMunayGas

Askhat Khassenov reported to the Head of State on the key results of the national company's activities in 2024 and plans for upcoming period, El.kz reports with reference to Akorda.

In 2024, the volume of oil and condensate products amounted to 23.8 mln tons, which is 1.3% higher in comparison to the previous year.

The President was informed that the design phase has begun for the Kalamkas-sea project, worth $6.4 bln.

Also, in 2024, drilling started at the Turgay Paleozoic, Karaton Podsolovoy, Karazhar, and Taisoigan wells, with resources exceeding 800 mln tons of oil equivalent.

The volume of oil transportation in 2024 increased by 4% compared to the previous year and reached 83.6 mln tons.

To meet domestic demand, the volume of production of petroleum products increased by 370 thousand tons.

Askhat Khassenov also reported on the implementation of social initiatives in the regions aimed at improving the living conditions of the population.

The President set the number of tasks to intensify work in the field of geological exploration, development of petrochemistry and implementation of major investment projects.
