During his speech at the plenary session of the Astana Think Tank Forum, held today in the capital of Kazakhstan, the President of the Republic, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev commented on the Russia-Ukraine conflict, El.kz news agency reports with reference to the press service of Akorda.

– As I already said during the negotiations with Chancellor Scholz, Russia is militarily invincible. This is a fact that is confirmed by Russia's military potential, the support of the population of this country for President Putin's policy, and history itself. Therefore we consider it necessary to look for a  peaceful solutions and support the realistic plans of all states, including China and Brazil. There is no other way. The alternative to this is a war of mutual extermination. Perhaps some world powers are interested in this, but this is a path to the abyss. Seeking peace through constructive negotiations is not a sign of weakness, but of strategic prudence, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.
