Tokayev offered Congolese youth to study at universities in Kazakhstan

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev considers it important to establish cultural and humanitarian ties between Astana and Brazzaville. Kazakh leader offered Congolese youth to study at universities in Kazakhstan, El.kz reports citing Akorda.

The Head of State pointed out that the two countries have established close relations at the international and regional levels and have common positions on many topical issues.

– Interaction within the framework of global and regional structures is developing. In the current geopolitical conditions, it is extremely important to provide mutual support and hold consultations within the framework of the UN and the African Union. During our meeting today, we also exchanged views on global and regional security issues. I support the Global Decade of Afforestation initiative proposed by the Congolese leadership, the President of Kazakhstan said.

According to the President of the Congo, the development of the energy sector is a promising area of cooperation.

– The economy of our country is based on the oil industry. Kazakhstan has extensive experience in this area. In addition, we can work together to develop other types of natural resources. The Congolese energy sector is ready to offer great opportunities to Kazakh companies," Denis Sassou Nguesso said.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed that Denis Sassou Nguesso's visit to our country is of historic importance.

"I am sure that this visit will give a new impetus to relations between Kazakhstan and Congo. It will also contribute to strengthening cooperation between Central Asia and Africa. I am convinced that we will support each other and achieve success together," the Head of State said.
