Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev laid flowers at the Aliya Moldagulova Memorial Memorial Complex and honored her memory with a minute of silence, El.kz reports.

This year, Kazakhstan marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of the renowned daughter of the Kazakh people.

The President met with community representatives from the Aktobe region.

"Aliya Moldagulova is a the glorious daughter of the Kazakh people. Today, I have come specially on the occasion of her 100th anniversary to honor her memory. I express my gratitude to all of you. We must widely popularize Aliya's name, both in our country and abroad. Her bright image will forever remain in our memory," Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said.

The Head of State emphasized that in these unstable times, it is important to maintain cohesion and unity.
