Tokayev awards Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan with Order of Dostyk of I degree

Metropolitan Alexander of Astana and Kazakhstan was awarded the Order of Dostyk of I degree, El.kz reports via Aqorda.

The Head of State congratulated the Metropolitan and all Orthodox believers on the Easter holiday.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stressed the significant contribution of the Orthodox Church to the promotion of traditional and family values, the education of the younger generation and the preservation of the country's rich cultural heritage.

The President awarded  Metropolitan Alexander in Kazakhstan with the Order of Dostyk of I degree for 15 years service and contribution in strengthening peace and harmony.
