Tokayev and Mirziyoyev take part in opening ceremony of university branches

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the opening ceremony of a number of facilities,El.kz reports citing Akorda.

In Akorda, with the participation of the heads of state of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, the official opening ceremony of the branch of the Mukhtar Auezov South Kazakhstan University in Chirchik and the branch of the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers in Almaty was held via videoconferencing.

The Presidents were shown a video about the activities of new branches of higher education institutions. During the ceremony, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek and the Minister of Education of Uzbekistan Kongratbay Sharipov made reports on cooperation in the field of science and higher education of the two countries.

The Heads of state launched the opening of university branches.
