Statement of Kazakh FM on situation in Middle East

As a result of recent U.S. military actions against Iran, the international situation is rapidly deteriorating with dangerous ramifications for the security of countries in our part of the world, El.kz cites Kazakh FM.

Kazakhstan is a Caspian littoral state and develops cooperation with Iran in various spheres. Our country believes that all disputes, including those related to nuclear issues, must be resolved through negotiations based on the UN Charter.

We urge all relevant states to reach an agreement as soon as possible in order to prevent the proliferation of nuclear weapons and provide security guarantees for states that comply with the non-proliferation regime under international oversight.
