Sports event in honor of International Day against Drug Addiction held in Almaty

In honor of the International Day Against Drug Abuse the sport event AIGA "SAGADAT BATYR OPEN" was held in Almaty,El.kz reports citing polisia.kz.

Athletes from Kazakhstan, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan took part in the tournament.

The event was organized by the Combating Drug Trafficking of the Department of Internal Affairs as part of the implementation of the Comprehensive Plan to Combat Drug Addiction and Drug Trafficking in Kazakhstan for 2023-2025

The tournament emphasized the importance of forming positive and healthy alternatives in society through sports and an active lifestyle. The representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted: "May our efforts continue to contribute to the creation of a society where the health and well-being of every person will be a priority."
