Sports Committee of Kazakh Armed Forces ready for international competitions

A meeting of the Sports Committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States member states was held in Yerevan. It was attended by the Kazakh delegation headed by the Chairman of the Sports Committee of the Ministry of Defense - the head of the Central Sports Club Olga Shishigina, reports El.kz with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting, issues of holding championships within the framework of the XV Spartakiad of friendly armies of the CIS member states this year, military sports games dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 were discussed. It was also about the development of uniform rules for holding competitions in military-applied and other sports.

According to the Work Plan of the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS member states for 2023, a number of championships are scheduled within the framework of the Spartakiad. In June, Belarus will host the all-around championship. In September , paramilitary cross country in Kazakhstan, championships in mountain eventing in Russia, judo in Tajikistan and army hand-to-hand combat in Uzbekistan.

Participation in such competitions contributes to strengthening the positions of army athletes and strengthening the military-sports component of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan in the international arena.
