Since the beginning of the year, 83 cases of measles registered in Kostanay region

In the last 18 days of January, 83 cases of measles were recorded in the region. This is an increase compared to the previous day, when 49 cases of measles were reported to the regional akimat. The total number of registered cases from April to January  was 302, El.kz reports with reference to Nasha Gazeta.

The largest number of cases continues to be recorded in Kostanay, where 186 cases were registered, including 13 new cases over the past day. The main contingent of cases is children under the age of 14 years, mainly aged 1 to 5 years.

Among the cases are 31 children attending preschool, 33 cases among schoolchildren (an increase of 3 cases) and 54 cases among students (an increase of 4 cases). The incidence is mainly registered among unvaccinated persons, accounting for 87.3%.
