A republican forum dedicated to the development of the pediatric care in Kazakhstan has started in Shymkent,El.kz reports.
The seminar-meeting considers strategies for improving the quality of medical care for children in the face of modern challenges. Pediatrics remains a priority area of medicine, providing diagnosis, treatment, prevention of diseases and the formation of a healthy lifestyle from an early age.
In her speech, Minister of Health Akmaral Alnazarova stressed the importance of improving preventive care, developing new technologies and introducing a standard patronage model. "We intend to focus on preventing manageable causes of child mortality, expanding immunization and improving the infrastructure of children's hospitals," she said.
The forum participants discussed changes in the Standard for the Organization of Pediatric Care, the creation of Early Intervention Centers, advanced training of doctors and the development of interdisciplinary interaction between pediatricians and other specialists.
The forum brought together health care organizers from all regions of the country, leading specialists of the Ministry of Health, representatives of the WHO, UNICEF, as well asll doctors and scientists.
