The short animated film "Besik Zhyry" won in the nomination "Best Animated Film" at the Roshani International Film Festival 2023 in India, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The international festival, held for the fourth time, brought together talented filmmakers from all over the world. This year, about 1300 works participated in the competition. Of these, 132 are animated films.
The cartoon "Besik Zhyry", filmed by the creative team of Dala Animation, received the highest praise from the jury and was liked by the audience. The work was published in 2021 with the support of the State Center for Support of National Cinema under the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
“It should be noted that this is not the first prize of the animated film "Besik Zhyry". In May, the Kazakh cartoon won the award for "Best Animated Short Film" at the prestigious film festival in Madrid, Spain. It is worth noting that 1500 animation works were presented at that competition, - said the chairman of the culture committee Arman Zhudebayev.
