Kazakh Senator Sultan Duisembinov told about the critical situation in the field of phytosanitary safety in his deputy request, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The deputy noted that 559 state inspectors for plant quarantine are responsible for this work in the country, 172 of which are directly assigned to phytosanitary control posts located along the perimeter of the state border.
According to the senator, some inspectors have to overcome up to 120 kilometers in order to get to checkpoints. Moreover, they bear the transportation costs themselves, and the salary of inspectors varies from 84,000 tenge to 146,000 tenge, depending on the length of service.
