Kazakhstan's Wimbledon 2022 champion Elena Rybakina defeated Poland’s Iga Swiatek in the Indian Wells semifinals yesterday, El.kz reports citing the national tennis federation.

In Melbourne, the 23-year-old tennis player beat Iga Swöntek in the fourth round (with a score of 6/4, 6/4), and in Indian Wells - in the semifinals (6/2, 6/2).

The first such achievement was set by the American Lindsay Davenport in 2000. Then she twice defeated Martina Hingis (6/1, 7/5 in the final in Australia and 4/6, 6/4, 6/0 in the final in the United States).
