Shezhire in AI era: Maksat Zhabagin on preserving national digital heritageOn November 16, 2024, the first international railway tour "Silk Road" will start in Kazakhstan along the route "Almaty - Turkestan - Tashkent - Almaty", El.kz reports citing the Kazakh Ministry of Tourism and Sports.
The four-day journey covers key historical sites in Turkestan and Tashkent. The program includes guide services, meals, transport services and entrance tickets to all attractions.
According to Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports Yerzhan Yerkinbayev, the tour will be a new step in strengthening cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, making travel more affordable and comfortable.
During the trip, tourists will visit the ancient city of Otyrar, an important center of trade, as well as the Arystan Baba mausoleum, the reserve-museum Azret Sultan and Karavansaray Turkistan Tourist Complex, one of the largest in Central Asia. In Tashkent, tour participants will be able to get acquainted with both historical and modern objects of the city.
