As part of Astana Media Week 2025, JSC Qazcontent held a panel session titled “Journalism at a Crossroads: The Birth of Digital Media with AI,” El.kz reports.

The event opened with a video presentation titled “AI and Media Transformation in Kazakhstan,” which showcased how digital technologies, neural networks, and automation are becoming an integral part of the country’s modern media landscape.

The discussion was moderated by Chairperson of the Board of JSC "Qazcontent" Aina Zadabek who noted that artificial intelligence technologies are already fundamentally transforming approaches to information creation and delivery.

The panel discussed the impact of AI on journalism development, editorial process automation, data analysis accuracy, and data visualization. Special attention was given to issues of ethics, public trust in digital content, and the preservation of the human role in the era of intelligent technologies.

Aina Zadabek emphasized that artificial intelligence does not replace journalists — it helps them to enhance the quality of media content. According to her, technology should be viewed not as a threat but as a tool for growth and the enhancement of human intelligence.

Astana Media Week 2025 runs from November 5 to 7 at the Kazmedia Center in Astana, bringing together leaders of domestic and international media to discuss the future of the industry in the age of artificial intelligence.
