In the summer, the Qaraghandy Academic Musical Comedy Theatre will again delight the capital’s audience with its performances. From August 16 to 18, the theatre from Qaraghandy will present a varied tour program for children and adults to the accompaniment of a symphony orchestra at Astana Opera’s Grand Hall, El.kz cites astanaopera.kz.
“Annual collaboration with the Qaraghandy Academic Musical Comedy Theatre has become not only a tradition for us, but also an important part of the cultural life of the capital. Thus, we introduce to the viewers other genres, such as musical comedy, opening up new facets of art. Thus, Berezin’s musical fairy tale Cinderella, presented on August 16 at 12:00 PM, will open the tour. In the evening of the same day, at 7:00 PM, Kálmán’s operetta Die Csárdásfürstin, an exciting work full of romance, awaits the audience.
On August 17 at 12:00 PM, Makarevich’s musical fairy tale Dunno will talk about a mischievous and curios boy who managed to captivate those around him with his ideas. Strauss’ operetta Eine Nacht in Venedig, known for its exquisite music and intriguing plot, will take place in the evening at 6 PM.
The final day of the tour, August 18, will begin at 12:00 PM with children’s musical The Princess and the Pea by Nikolai Makarevich, talking about the adventures and tribulations of the Princess. Kancheli’s musical comedy The Tricks of Khanuma will complete the tour program. It will take place at the Grand Hall at 6 PM, promising the audience many comedic situations and unforgettable musical impressions from the cleverest matchmaker in Tiflis – Khanuma.
