Public procurement for 3 bln tenge canceled by prosecutor’s office in Zhetysu

Prosecutors in Zhetisu canceled public procurement worth over 3 billion tenge, El.kz reports.

In particular, the purchase of the education department of the Alakol district for the purchase of off-season diesel fuel was canceled. The customer specified the requirement for the purchased fuel to comply with the standards of K2 (environmental class of fuel), the import of which into the territory of Kazakhstan has been prohibited since 2018.

As a result of supervisory inspections, the competitions were canceled, and the guilty officials were brought to justice.

Since the beginning of the year, prosecutors of the Zhetisu region have canceled illegal tenders for public procurement in the amount of over 11 billion tenge. More than 100 officials were brought to various types of responsibility.
