The World Nomad Games is a unique event which brings together participants from Turkic countries, as well as from non-CIS countries.
As noted in the Directorate of Games, non-CIS countries, including the United States, New Zealand, Hungary, are interested in the games and actively participate in them. It is known that the US national team in kokpar will take part in the games.
The purpose of the games is to preserve and popularize the cultural heritage of nomadic peoples, to demonstrate their skills and traditional sports.
From September 8 to 13, 2024, the International Sports Competitions in Ethnic Sports - V World Nomad Games (WNG) will be held in Astana. The event will be attended by over 2 thousand participants from 89 countries.
