Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov instructed to radically simplify and speed up public procurement and procurement of the quasi-public sector, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Head of Government stressed that the current procedures often lead to delays in public procurement processes, as a result of which the implementation of new projects and the development of the economy as a whole slows down.

The Kazakh PM  focused on the need to significantly increase the share of domestic goods in purchases with the help of appropriate incentive mechanisms. This also applies to the support of new production facilities that have not yet been established in Kazakhstan.

Olzhas Bektenov instructed the state bodies to work out the necessary measures with experts and the business community as soon as possible and include them in the legislative amendments that are under consideration in the Parliament.

During the discussion, the Chairman of the Presidium of the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs Raimbek Batalov supported the voiced approaches and confirmed his readiness to actively work together with the ministries for their implementation. The meeting also addressed the launch of a single digital platform for public administration "QazTech" and reforming housing policy.
