Presidential elections: Nomination of candidates to begin on September 23

Nomination of candidates for the post of President will begin on September 23 and will end at 18.00 on October 11, El.kz reports with reference to the CEC of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

 Requirements for candidates are as follows: citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan by birth, residence in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the last 15 years, higher education, age not younger than 40 years, an active election right, and experience in the civil service or in elected positions for at least 5 years, fluency in the state language.

118,273 voters` signatures must be collected in support of each candidate.
