The Head of State attended a military parade dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in World War II and the struggle against Japanese militarists, held at Beijing’s Tiananmen Square, El.kz cites Aqorda.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Chinese President Xi Jinping, more than 20 heads of state and government from Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America took part at the event.

The parade featured 45 formations of the People’s Liberation Army of China, with a total of more than 10,000 servicemen. Over 100 aircraft and several hundred units of ground equipment were deployed.

During the ceremonial review, some new types of strategic weapons for land, sea, and air deployment were showcased for the first time. Also presented were new fourth-generation weapons, unmanned and counter-unmanned aerial systems, directed-energy weapons, and more.
