During the conversation, the Kazakh diplomat informed the Speaker about the upcoming early parliamentary elections in Kazakhstan on March 19, 2023. Ambassador Aidarbekov also introduced the changes in the electoral legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of constitutional, political and economic reforms initiated by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
In turn, Speaker Grosu expressed strong support for democratic reforms in Kazakhstan and readiness to further deepen cooperation between the two nations through inter-parliamentary and inter-governmental interaction.
The parties also paid special attention to issues of trade, economic and energy cooperation, as well as infrastructure projects.
At the end of the conversation, the parties agreed to maintain working contacts for the exchange of experience and mutually beneficial cooperation.
