From August 28 to September 8, 2024, the XVII Paralympic Games will be held in Paris (France), representing an important event for world sports and an opportunity for athletes with disabilities to demonstrate their outstanding sports achievements. Within the framework of these games, competitions in 23 sports will be held, El.kz reports citing the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
To date, the national team of Kazakhstan plans to compete in 9 sports, including para athletics, para powerlifting, para taekwondo, para table tennis, para swimming, para judo, para canoe, volleyball sitting and pair shooting.
During the preparation, our Paralympic athletes have done a great job and have already brought 11 licenses to the national team. Among them: 1 license in sitting volleyball in the men's category, 1 license in para athletics in the discipline of shot put, 3 licenses in para swimming, 1 license in para canoeing in the discipline KL 200 for 200 meters, 1 license in powerlifting and 3 licenses in para taekwondo. There is also 1 license for para bullet shooting.
In addition, 23 sporting events are planned for 2024, where licenses for the 2024 Paralympic Games will be up for grabs.
