Over 900 people accused of corruption in Kazakhstan

More than 1,400 corruption crimes were registered

The Head of State received the chairman of the Anti-Corruption Agency Olzhas Bektenov, El.kz reports with reference to Akorda.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev heard a report on the measures taken to combat corruption in the country. In particular, for 7 months of this year, more than 1,400 corruption crimes were registered, more than 900 people were accused of corruption.

The Head of State was also provided with information on preventive and preventive measures to prevent corruption crimes.

According to Olzhas Bektenov, an external analysis has been completed in the areas of transport control, in socio-entrepreneurial corporations, as well as in the State Defense Order Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development. Corruption risks were identified at all the stages of state defense order compilation, beginning from the planning the volumes of production and ending with fulfillment of contractual obligations.

In pursuance of the President's instructions, the Agency has fully revised the approaches to the evaluation of the activity of the Anti-Corruption Service divisions.

Following the meeting, the Head of State set a number of tasks to strengthen the work of the Anti-Corruption Service.
