The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan is taking the necessary measures to support farmers. Thus, funds were allocated from the reserve for the purchase of wheat from domestic farmers.
The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Government.
The document was adopted as part of the execution of the instructions of the Head of State to provide prompt measures to support agricultural producers affected by bad weather conditions this year. In particular, 31 billion 375 million tenge is allocated for the direct purchase by the Food Corporation of 350 thousand tons of wheat of classes 4 and 5 and non-class wheat from Kazakhstani farmers.
At present, taking into account carry-over stocks and domestic consumption, the harvested crop is sufficient to provide the domestic market and ship a certain volume for export, including in the form of flour.
The press service noted that in general, in 2023, the Government allocated 494 billion tenge from all sources to subsidize the agro-industrial complex, including an additional 60 billion tenge from the reserve to subsidize crop production and animal husbandry. Also, 100 billion tenge was allocated from the republican budget for the implementation of the Auyl AmanatyProgram.
