Over 300 boxers to compete for World Cup in Kazakhstan’s capital

From June 30 to July 6, Astana will host the Men’s and Women’s Boxing World Cup. The tournament will take place at the Martial Arts Palace named after Zhaksylyk Ushkempirov and will bring together over 300 athletes from 30 countries, El.kz reports.

According to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, joint training camps are already underway in the capital, with Kazakhstani boxers training alongside athletes from the USA, Canada, Serbia, France, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, Azerbaijan, Australia, Slovakia, Norway, and Germany. In total, over 100 athletes are participating in these international training sessions.

Based on the results of the training phase, the final lineup of Kazakhstan’s national team for the home tournament will be determined.

The opening ceremony of the World Cup will take place on June 30 at 1:00 PM. The final bouts are scheduled for July 6 and will begin at 2:00 PM. Organizers promise a high level of organization, and spectacular matches featuring some of the strongest boxers from around the world.
