Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Aimagambetov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States to Kazakhstan Daniel Rosenblum, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the issues of training Kazakhstani schoolchildren under the FLEX program, advanced training of teachers and recognition of certificates and courses for teachers.
"Mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of education between our countries has been established, several projects are being implemented at once at all levels of education. We support various exchange programs, for example, more than 2,000 students have already studied in US schools on FLEX. Programs for the development of the English language are effective. Participants in the program teach English in our educational organizations. We are also actively working on the development of STEM and inclusive education. I hope for further cooperation in all these areas," Minister of Education Askhat Aimagambetov said.
U.S. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Kazakhstan Daniel Rosenblum expressed readiness for cooperation and noted the potential for bilateral cooperation.
"The education of the younger generation is the future of the country. And this is a very important mission. As you noted, we have been successfully cooperating for many years. We are ready for further cooperation, in particular, on advanced training programs for teachers in Kazakhstan," Daniel Rosenblum said.
Also within the framework of the meeting, other issues of cooperation in the field of education were considered: advanced training of teachers, development of colleges, inclusive education.
During the meeting, the parties expressed interest in further strengthening and expanding the partnership between the two countries in the field of preschool, secondary, technical and vocational education.
