Over 12 bln. tenge allocated to support entrepreneurship in Kazakhstan

Vice Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Kazakhstan Olzhas Ordabayev spoke about the mechanisms for supporting entrepreneurial initiatives - the issuance of grants and microloans at 2.5% for the creation and development of business ideas, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

"As part of the implementation of the National Project for the Development of Entrepreneurship for 2021-2025, the acceptance of applications for the first stream of grants for the implementation of business ideas has begun. As part of the first stream, it is planned to issue about 2.6 thousand grants. In general, in 2023, 9 thousand people will receive grants. 12.4 billion tenge is provided for this," Ordabayev said.

The grant amount will be up to 400 MCI, and representatives of socially vulnerable categories of the population will be able to count on it. You can apply for participation online, through the portal business.enbek.kz.

"Especially to support the entrepreneurial initiatives of young people, preferential lending at 2.5% was launched this year. 29 billion tenge has been allocated for this, which will cover 5.8 thousand people. The maximum loan amount is 5 million tenge.

The loan term can be up to 5 years for any purpose, with the exception of animal husbandry. For this area of activity - up to 7 years," Ordabayev said.

Loans will be issued through JSC "Agrarian Credit Corporation" on the basis of the decision of the tender commission.

According to the Vice Minister, special projects are provided for certain categories of the population.
