Non-cash transactions for six months increased by 48%

The profitability of pension assets over the past 12 months was 8.2%. At the same time, non-cash transactions for six months increased by 48%, and the share of online payments in the country exceeded 83%, El.kz reports with reference to the Deputy Chairman of the National Bank Akylzhan Baymagambetov.

"The pension assets of the UAPF in July of this year amounted to 13.7 trillion tenge, having increased since the beginning of the year by 609 billion tenge, or 4.7%. The volume of investment income since the beginning of this year amounted to 519.5 billion tenge," Akylzhan Baymagambetov said during a meeting of the Government.

According to the National Bank, the profitability of pension assets over the past 12 months was 8.2%, the accumulated profitability of pension assets for 5 years exceeded the accumulated inflation.

He also reported on the development of the payment system in the country.

"Non-cash transactions of the population for 6 months of this year increased to 44.4 trillion tenge by 48%. The share of online payments exceeded 83%," the deputy chairman of the National Bank said.

Also, as the deputy head of the National Bank informed, in order to create a digital financial infrastructure and further develop the ecosystem of digital financial services, a report on the development of Open API and Open Banking was published in July. Measures under the Digital Tenge project are at the implementation stage.
