Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bektenov hold meeting with the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin to discuss the practical implementation of agreements reached at the highest level, El.kz reports citing primeminister.kz.
Both sides highlighted the high level of constructive dialogue between Kazakhstan and Russia, based on strategic partnership and alliance.
By the end of 2024, the volume of mutual trade reached $27.8 billion, and in the period from January to May 2025, it amounted to $9.6 billion.
“On the instructions of our Heads of State, we are working purposefully to increase mutual trade volume to $30 billion. There is significant potential for investment cooperation. Overall, I would like to note the effective work of the Intergovernmental Commission on Cooperation in addressing a wide range of issues in bilateral relations,” Olzhas Bektenov said.
As part of efforts to deepen the partnership between the two countries, special attention was also given to the preparations for the 21st Kazakhstan-Russia Interregional Cooperation Forum, which is scheduled to take place this fall in the city of Uralsk.
Following the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening mutually beneficial economic cooperation across all priority areas.
