A meeting on the socio-economic development of the country is being held under the chairmanship of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
In his speech, Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov noted that price stabilization is one of the most important tasks of the Government and local executive bodies, El.kz reports.
In this regard, together with the National Bank, a set of measures is being implemented to control and reduce inflation.
As a result, by the end of March, annual inflation in the republic slowed down to 18.1%.
Over the past four weeks, there has been no increase in prices for socially significant food products.
"This year we are faced with the task of reducing inflation by 2 times," Alikhan Smailov said.
The Republic is implementing a program to increase the income of the population.
As part of these measures, the salaries of more than 3 million people have been increased.
All social obligations of the state are fulfilled in a timely manner and in full. In particular, this year social payments to 4.4 million people have been increased, 4.6 trillion tenge has been allocated for these purposes.
Due to the implementation of national projects, the opening of new industries, the development of small and medium-sized businesses, and the creation of new jobs, about 1 million people will be employed this year.
