According to the publication, this city, which is the largest in Kazakhstan with a population of about two million people, is marked as a peaceful but active city with a rich cultural life.

Particular attention is paid to the gastronomic features of Almaty, including the cuisine of "neonomads" with an emphasis on flour, water and meat, presented in the city's restaurants in a modern style.

It is also recommended to visit the Green Bazaar and PlatformA food market.

Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Yerkinbayev commented on the inclusion of Almaty in the rating, noting the growing interest in Kazakhstan from international tourists.
