New measures to combat forest fires considered by Government

The launch of the early detection system for forest fires, which will allow real-time detection of fires and prompt transmission of information to authorized bodies, was considered at the Commission on the Implementation of Digitalization chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, El.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Within the framework of this system, the territories of the state forest fund, national parks, reserves and specially protected areas are planned to be covered by round-the-clock video monitoring and a network of independent smoke detectors.

At the same time, it is planned to use drones, which will provide the decision-making center with up-to-date information and help coordinate actions in the localization and elimination of fires.
